Queso Asadero (melting cheese)
Asadero cheese originates from the state of Sinaloa in NW Mexico and also some areas of Texas. Our cheese making procedure for our Asadero cheese follows the traditional practices which originated in the northern state of Chihuahua, Mexico. This semi-soft creamy, mild cheese is one of our more versatile cheeses. Asadero cheese is known for how easily it melts and can be substituted in place of Monterrey Jack in most recipes.
